Randy Coleman

The Accountant

 

Randy provides an abundance of skills and a robust financial background to CDK Cost Segregation. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University’s Honors Accounting Program in 1991, he earned his Certified Public Accountant license in Ohio.

Randy kicked off his professional journey at Price Waterhouse in Pittsburgh, PA, and Columbus, OH, gaining valuable experience during his eight years in public accounting.

His career continued to flourish at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company (NYSE: SMG) in Marysville, OH, where Randy held various roles over 21 years, ultimately serving as Chief Financial Officer and EVP of the Fortune 1000 company for seven years.

In 2021, Randy co-founded and assumed the role of CFO at Dairy Biogas Company in Cincinnati, OH.

In 2023, Randy co-founded CDK Cost Segregation, marking a new chapter in his professional journey. His extensive financial expertise positions him as a key contributor to the company.

Patrick Donley

The Real Estate Professional

 

Patrick brings a wealth of real estate experience to CDK Cost Segregation, contributing both as an investor and a hands-on operator with a substantial background in renovating and selling single-family homes, apartments, and commercial property throughout his professional career. A graduate of Miami University in 1991 with a degree in Finance, Patrick’s early career took him to Vietnam, where he worked for The Vietnam Investment Review, gaining insights into international markets.

Patrick’s early exposure to real estate, growing up in a family involved in homebuilding and development, naturally fueled his long-term interest in the field. In 2015, Patrick founded The Wexford Group, a home renovation company focused on Franklinton, OH, showcasing his commitment to revitalizing local communities. With his wife, Molly, he operates Open Sky Spaces which provides office space to mental health therapists in private practice.

He has also hosted a popular podcast centered around real estate investments and related businesses for The Investor’s Podcast Network.

In 2023, Patrick co-founded CDK Cost Segregation, bringing his extensive real estate background and hands-on experience to the business. His role in the company leverages his deep understanding of real estate dynamics.

Chris King

The Engineer

 

Chris brings a unique blend of engineering expertise and broad-based management experience to the CDK Cost Segregation team. With a career spanning Engineering, IT, Business Development, and Construction Management, he offers a well-rounded perspective on property development and asset management. Chris graduated from The Ohio State University in 1993 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and later earned his MBA from Ohio State in 1998.

Throughout his career, Chris has held key roles at organizations including Worthington Industries, OhioHealth, Sphere Electrical, and COhatch, leading projects in construction, renovation, and operational strategy. In 2023, he co-founded RE Cost Seg Solutions, applying his engineering and construction background to the highly specialized field of cost segregation. Chris leverages his technical knowledge to analyze properties, allocate asset classes into appropriate depreciable categories, and develop comprehensive, engineering-based cost segregation studies that help clients maximize tax benefits.
